It's THURSDAY!
I love Thursdays. Thursdays are the best! It is close to the weekend. I usually only have the 3 little ones to take care of, the 3 older girls are elsewhere. We typically get a carry-out for dinner. My daughter and granddaughter have a weekly activity on Thursday nights, which means I have the house to myself for 3 1/2 hours. Can it get any better? YES!!!!!! Thursday night is GREY'S ANATOMY!!!! I don't watch TV during the day or night, except for Thursday nights at 9:00 pm. Anyone who knows me knows NOT to call between 9:00 pm and 10:00 pm on Thursday nights. If you have an emergency, call someone else, I won't be answering my phone. Tonight is a little bittersweet. It is the season finale for Grey's Anatomy. It is suppose to be SO exciting. I can't wait!!! Sad thing, no more Grey's until next fall. Guess I can pack up the TV until September.
I feel bad, this is suppose to be a knitting blog and I have nothing to show you. I have been working on my hexagon blanket, making progress, but no photos to show you. I think I will attach the first 19 hexagons and see if they are the right length for my daughter's bed. Not to mention, I better start attaching them or I will have a hundred to do and that will make me crazier than usual. I will get photos posted soon. Also, I forgot that I haven't finished my Elephant from the pattern by Mamma4earth. I need to work on him.
My cousin, my uncle, and I are having a contest. We all bought the same variety of tomato, Bonnie Best, and the race is on to see who eats the first red tomato, who grows the biggest tomato, and who's plant bears the most tomatoes. So far my cousin has the first flower on her plant. I have 4 buds, but no flower.
I couldn't leave you with showing you my precious baby turtles. They are about 2-3 months old. They are Abbie, Avery, Greenie, and Poppy. Poppy is camera shy, but here are the other 3.
Wishing you early, a GREAT WEEKEND! For those of you in the Detroit area, this Saturday is Flower Day at Eastern Market. It is suppose to be a beautiful weekend. I will be helping my son and daughter-in-love move into their new house. We are so close, we can ride bikes to each others house.

I just didn't get into Grey's this season...not sure why since it has been my favorite for years. I'll be watching the conclusion of Missing with Ashley Judd tonight and hoping to almost complete a cardigan I've been working on.
Happy Thursday!
I LOVE Missing. I only caught it half the time, but enough to understand what was happening. I did watch it tonight. I was wondering how they were going to end it, if it was a one season show or if it is returning. Looks like......returning. I may have 2 show I will be watching in the fall. Did you finish your cardigan?
I really need your help! Sylvia brought home her class pet, a painted turtle that was found on the school parking lot. They only kept him for a very short time. He was dropped off by us because we have a couple of ponds that are already loved by some painted turtles.
I let him stay indoors for a couple of days for the kids. And Veda fell in love! She wanted Rocky to go everywhere with her. He had to come into the bathroom while she bathed. He had to go outside with her. She would suddenly jump up from her activity to run and say "Hi!" to Rocky.
And then we released him. Veda is sad.
I would love to get a pet turtle but I have no idea how to keep a turtle. There is that whole hibernation thing and estivation. If you have any tips for me, I would be SO thankful!
Your baby turtles are so beautiful Barb!! I could just sit and watch them all day.

How's the tomato contest coming along? We have eaten only a handful of cherry tomatoes so far. They were fantastic!!!
Hi Barb,
I have not heard from you in quite some time, I hope everything is good with you and that life is keeping you busy!
I look forward to more of your knitting/crocheting stories!
